Dr. Gaurav Ganeshwala is a senior Consultant Cardiologist working at Ruby Hall Clinic, Pune. He has more than 10 years of experience in the field of clinical and Interventional cardiology. He had completed his DM Cardiology training at the prestigious Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi. He also has the honor of International fellowships from the European Society of Cardiology (FESC) and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI) to his credit.

 

Dr. Ganeshwala believes in the concept that: “Prevention is better than cure” and strongly emphasizes a healthy diet and lifestyle modifications for the prevention of heart diseases. He has performed more than 5000 Echocardiography procedures including Transesophageal Echo and Stress Echocardiography tests. Apart from that, he has reported thousands of Treadmill tests, Holter monitoring, and Ambulatory BP monitoring tests.

He has vast experience in performing coronary and peripheral angiography & angioplasties including complex coronary interventions including Left Main, Bifurcation, CTO angioplasty, and Bypass graft angioplasties. He has the credit of performing one of the highest numbers of Primary Angioplasty (Emergency angioplasty for Heart Attack) and Left main/bifurcation angioplasty procedures in the twin cities of Pune and PCMC has helped in saving many lives and avoiding open-heart surgeries. He had won the best oral abstract presenter award at the annual CSI conference 2016 held at Kochi for his research work in Coronary interventions.

 

He has a special interest in Coronary imaging & physiology-assisted coronary angioplasty interventions and had won the best case presenter award at the “Imaging and Physiology Council of India” – National Level Conference 2019 held at Chennai for the same.

 

Heart failure is a widely rampant and life-threatening disorder and Dr. Ganeshwala has successfully treated hundreds of patients with advanced heart failure with optimal medical therapy and device therapy including pacemakers like Defibrillator pacemakers (AICD) and Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy (CRT-D). He also has the credit of presenting his original research work on “Advanced echocardiographic study on RV apex versus RV outflow tract permanent pacemaker lead position” at Asia Pacific Heart Rhythm Society Conference 2013 held in Hongkong.

 

He has been an important part of Endovascular interventions for Valvular Heart diseases including Aortic Stenosis and Mitral valve disease and has been involved in the Transcutaneous Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR or TAVI) and Balloon Mitral Valvotomy (BMV) and management of other valve-related disorders in the city of Pune and Ruby Hall Clinic.

 

He is well updated with the recent advances in the fields of Medicine, Cardiology, and Cardiovascular surgery. He has many publications in reputed medical journals and has been an investigator for many clinical trials.
